People-watching is one of my favorite past-times. I'm a listener, an observer. Sure, I don't mind being the center of attention every once in a while (though usually just in a small group of close friends), but most of the time I take the quiet role. While watching and listening, I'm gleaning the unspoken currents, analyzing the intricacies that make you completely unlike anyone else, and your experience a deep and profound story.

I'm excited by the potential even just one photo has-- it can capture an entire novel's worth of story. I do my best work when I'm given enough freedom to wander and capture things as they unfold, not as they're staged or forced. I love working with people who see our time together as an opportunity to craft something beautiful together, because my photos are about so much more than my experience or my eye. While those are important and contribute greatly to my own personal style and ability to work well on a wedding day, what really makes me excited about my work is what's on the other side of the lens, because after all, I'm documenting the magic that is you.
One thing I really love about my job is the complexity of a wedding day. There's such depth and extreme variety of emotions that occur on that one single day, and I'm honored to be included in the midst of it. Most often capturing beautiful and artful photos takes time, so be sure to allow plenty of it. Being organized on an important day is invaluable and helps everyone relax, but strict scheduling or too many "important moments" catalogued on a shot list can hinder me from capturing the compelling shots you desire. I mainly photograph photo-journalistically, though I do make small suggestions and give minor direction during portraits to represent the beauty of the day as best I can.
I am drawn to opportunities that allow me to document stories of raw emotion and relationships; showing truth and reality in a beautiful, artistic way. Whether I'm photographing the story of a wedding day, or a styled conceptual subject, my work and perspective convey stories and ideas that are meaningful. Think our styles would work well together?
